University of Twente, Netherlands Fall Exchange Opportunity!

We are pleased to inform you that the application for Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Twente (UT), Netherlands Exchange Program Fall 2026/2027 is now open for Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

1. Active S1/IUP student from DEIE FT UGM
2. Meet academic prerequisites (Read the modules)
3. English Proficiency Statement from UGM

3. Learning Agreement: 5 June 2026
4. Visa Application: 15 June 2026

 

INTERNAL APPLICATION PROCESS

1. DTETI Internal Form

• Complete the DTETI form at http://ugm.id/DEIETwente

This step is required for internal monitoring of student applicants.

2. OIA UGM Application Form

• Complete the OIA UGM form at http://ugm.id/oiaUTDEIE with the following details:
  • Program name: UT X DEIE UGM Exchange Program Fall 2026/2027
  • Required Attachments:
    • Certificate of Language Proficiency
    • Passport (optional)
  • Upload (compile in PDF format):
    • Passport (if available)
    • English Proficiency Certificate (IELTS/TOEFL iBT/Cambridge/AcEPT)
    • English Language Proficiency Statement (download from http://ugm.id/langUT)
      • Fill in your personal information on page 1
      • Answer all question points with YES
      • Leave Signature and Stamp of the University on page 3 blank

Internal Deadline: 15 March 2026

OIA UGM will submit your nomination via the University of Twente Mobility-Online Nomination & Application system by 1 April 2026.

Upload the required documents & indicate your desired course list.

ESTIMATED BUDGET AT A GLANCE

1. Living Expenses

• Living cost: ~€1,350 / month
  • 1 semester (~5 months): ~€6,750
• Housing note: If you hold a non-EEA nationality, University of Twente will provide one guaranteed housing offer at Boulevard 1945 in the city centre of Enschede (see ugm.id/UThousing). If you decline this offer, you will need to arrange accommodation independently.

2. Other Expected Costs

• Flight: ~€1,000 (range €800–€1,200)
• Visa & insurance: ~€450 (range €300–€600)

3. Tuition Fee: Waived

What to Prepare (Estimated Total)

• ~€8,200 (€6,750 + €1,000 + €450)
• ≈ IDR 164,000,000 (assuming €1 = IDR 20,000)

Helpful Note

From recent student experiences applying for a Schengen visa in Groningen, applicants are sometimes asked to show proof of financial readiness early in the visa process.

Be prepared to provide either:

1. the full estimated budget, or
2. proof of funds for at least the first month’s living cost, along with a sponsor/guarantor statement covering the remaining months.
